Information for healthcare professionals

NEUROVENT®

Microchip catheter of the highest precision - the catheter which

3 measured values!

  • ICP (intracranial pressure)
  • ICT (intracranial temperature)
  • ptiO2 (partial pressure of oxygen)

In neurosurgery, multimodal neuromonitoring makes it possible to detect the causes of possible cerebral damage at an early stage. The ICP is measured on the basis of semiconductor pressure sensors. The oxygen partial pressure is measured using the oxygen quenching method. In this way, the level and changes in the parameters are recorded reliably, quickly and accurately.

Clinical advantages:

  • Parenchymatous pressure, temperature and ptiO2 measurement in one catheter.
  • Easy handling due to Plug & Play system - no calibration required
  • Connection directly to the patient monitor without intermediate monitor (except NEUROVENT-PTO/-PTO-2L and -TO)
  • Compatible with all common patient monitoring monitors
  • MR conditional at 1.5 T and 3.0 T1 - no need to explant and discard the probe
  • Easy change of monitor without loss of measurement value by means of zero point simulator (NPS2) possible with ICP
  • Excellent measurement stability and linearity
  • Reproducible reproduction of pressure curves with highly accurate resolution of the
  • fine structure for wave analysis
  • Wide range for all applications (parenchymal, ventricular, epidural)
  • Centimetre scale (numerical every 5 c)
